Ralph Lauren has one. So does Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason and some of the richest men in the world. Now you can get your hands on an extremely rare automotive icon, a legendary 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO being offered for private treaty sale by RM Auctions, at a price that could easily top $25 million. The car, chassis no. 4675 GT from an important Japanese collection, is one of only 36 250 GTOs originally produced and one of a limited few with Series II GTO bodywork. In 2008 British real estate baron Bill Ainscough reportedly sold his 250 GTO for about $28 million to an anonymous tycoon, making it the world's most expensive car. "The Ferrari GTO is unquestionably one of the most iconic and coveted cars in the world," notes Max Girardo, Managing Director of RM Europe. "This is truly a rare occasion for collectors to acquire such an important piece of automotive history."

Unfortunately, TechArt's package for the Panamera is rather limited. They've fitted a new front end with a three-piece spoiler, along with 21- or 22-inch wheels. Inside, meanwhile, the company is offering a broad range of customization options, with two-tone leather and Alcantara micro-suede. We're still waiting, however, for TechArt to announce their full performance tuning package, so stay tuned.

"Dubbed the Conquisto, the two-door vehicle looks a bit like a jacked-up Gallardo, while the four-pipe sports exhaust system and massive air intakes front and rear indicate a beast lurking beneath the bonnet"

"The Bugatti Veyron has established itself as the ultimate supercar combining groundbreaking performance with OATness and comfortable road manners. It's price is as super as it's performance making it only within reach of the super-rich aka the global gilded. The Veyron Grand Sport is the first convertible from the marque in modern times. It required a substantial redesign in order to keep the rigidity of the hard top; most of this was achieved with lightweight carbon fiber reinforcement. A polycarbonate roof panel is included and although this cannot be stored in the car an emergency fabric roof can be found neatly stashed away. The Veyron's performance is far from blunted; however the top speed must be limited with the open roof."

BMW's New Vision

By Natalia V
BMW2013.jpg
According to Inside Line, which is quoting an unnamed "senior BMW authority out of Munich," the German automaker will indeed build a production version of the Vision Efficient Dynamics concept that debuted last year at the Frankfurt Motor Show. BMW is reportedly planning for a model run of between 5,000 and 10,000 units for 2013. We'll get to the details in a moment, but here's the best news: "That name that the marketing people forced on us [is] going to change for sure." Phew.

Apparently, BMW has no plans to ditch the radical plug-in hybrid powertrain, which put out 356 horsepower and an impressive 590 pound-feet of torque in the concept. That means we'll get something similar to the turbocharged three-cylinder diesel range extender and twin electric motors powered by a lithium polymer battery pack that was featured in Frankfurt. Sounds great so far, and BMW claims the performance will be even better than the 4.8-second 0 to 60 run quoted for the concept.
