bmw-vision-connecteddrive-concept-roadster_Yuuy6_48.jpgDuring the upcoming Geneva Motor Show (March 3-13, 2011), BMW is going to present its Vision ConnectedDrive study, a roadster concept with layers. It’s visually as striking as the Vision EfficientDynamics from the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, which turned out to be a real stunner. The new Vision ConnectedDrive gives a glimpse of BMWs to come, and has been designed to show some new design elements and technological components. Comfort, safety and the infotainment experience can be customized to suit the liking of both the driver and the passengers. The infotainment layer offers movies, music and internet access.

Interestingly, the concept uses different layers of material instead of using single plane of smooth sheet metal or plastic. Inside, BMW has integrated a new 3D heads-up display that displays all kinds of driver-centric information. Some of features of the two-seat roadster include colored fiber optics set within the bodywork and cabin and Z1 roadster-styled sliding doors. The full specifications have not been revealed yet.
